Matte Beige

searching for the ultimate matte glaze i stumbled upon Tony Hanson’s previous work and started mixing this matte beige glaze. at some point the raw material store could only supply me with 190 mesh flint. turns out that the 190 mesh causes the little speckles in the glaze. a characteristic i quite enjoy. i believe it is carbon trapping. but i really don’t know enough to know anything for certain.

i will use this glaze next to and over the matte green, as i do with my striped green/blue line of work. it is also the base to the oxide painted trees i make from time to time.
