Plates

Hands down the most finicky shape I make. Plates are not extremely difficult to form, pressing spinning clay down until flat, forming a useful rim to hold the sauces of delicious food, they are not highly technical forms. But the drying, handling, firing and glazing of this simple flat form can make a person mad. I always make 50% more plates than I need anticipating the carnage that is plate making for me.

Plates will be made year round and follow the seasonal glaze tones.
